"Master Class"

 An Article by Pamono

Pomano features Kosuke along with his fellow graduates and internationally successful designers in an article Master Class which analyses "the unparalleled success of the Royal College of Art's Design Products course".

-

"As an incubator of creative talent, London’s Royal College of Art is a powerhouse like no other. Its star-studded alumni roster includes Henry Moore, Robin Day, Peter Blake, David Hockney, Zandra Rhodes, James Dyson, and Christopher Bailey. One course alone —Design Products— has produced contemporary design luminaries Thomas Heatherwick, Paul Cocksedge, Tomoko Azumi, Peter Marigold, Max Lamb, Shay Alkalay, and Yael Mer (of Raw Edges). The RCA’s success seems almost unparalleled; so what is its secret alchemy?"

EVENING STANDARD

Issue on 12th Jun. 2013 | London

Kosuke's graduation work Food Waste Ware is featured on Evening Standard in Design section, along with fellows' works.

-

"The sweepings from a local market hardly sound like promising raw material for a designer, but Kosuke Araki has [...] (turned) discarded vegetables and bones into delicate-looking black containers. The design products graduate invented the processes involved himself and [...] do-it-yourself moulds (and a 'cookery book') to help promote an end to food waste. Araki features, along with many other former students, at the Royal College of Art’s summer graduate exhibition, Show RCA ( June 20-30)."
